CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Warren and Forest Counties PA, a successful, growing nonprofit child advocacy organization, is looking for a Program Director to help us increase awareness of our program and raise funds to serve abused and neglected children. Our program provides staff and volunteer services for children referred by the Court of Common Pleas of the 37th District of Pennsylvania, Juvenile Division.

The CASA Program Director leads the organization and is primary liaison reporting to the CASA Advisory Board. The Program Director is also responsible for collaborating with the judicial system, Children and Youth Services, social services agencies and the National and State CASA organizations. The Program Director provides leadership, strategic vision, planning and direction for all CASA’s of Warren and Forest Counties programming. The goal is to manage and lead the organization to ensure that the mission, policies and programs provide the necessary services for the children that it serves. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education or a related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience working with volunteers and the child welfare system, a basic knowledge of the local legal community and a working knowledge and clear understanding of child abuse and neglect, families in crisis and other social services skills are given priority. Candidates will demonstrate strong skills in fiscal management, fundraising, resource development and maintenance, agency and program planning, public relations, board development and problem solving.

Requirements (Candidates must have or be able to meet the following):

· Must submit Act 33 and 34 clearances.

· Must sign a Confidentiality/Commitment Pledge.

· Must be sworn in by one of the judges.

· Must complete volunteer training.

· Must be able to perform the essential job functions.

· Must have access to a vehicle, be willing and able to travel, and possess a valid driver’s license.
